Plan Design Assistance
Provide support to assist ensuring the plan services the needs of the business, the plan sponsor, and the participants.
• Assist in preparation and/or review of an Investment Policy Statement.
• Review new legislative changes and how they impact the plan.
• Help evaluate quantitative and qualitative aspects of investment line-up through benchmarking or plan
investments.
• Review allocation of plan assets to help plan sponsor evaluate employee investment decisions and
mapping of investment options.
• Implement customized education plan targeting employee needs, including average participation,
deferral percentages, and asset allocation.
Investment Review Assistance
Assist plan sponsor make sure the plan's investment menu options are appropriate for the plan and participants.
• Annually benchmark the performance and expenses of the investment options and help coordinate steps to deliver any enhancements.
• Provide resources that assist with the investment process.
• Help plan sponsor identify potential alternatives when investments no longer meet Investment Policy
Statement terms.
• Provide analysis on how participants are using the investments in the plan.
Employee Communications
Support Human Resources department with ongoing participant education for all eligible employees.
• Design a communications program and develop an annual communications calendar.
• Coordinate and deliver group enrollment meetings.
• Meet with employees individually or as a group to provide direction regarding contribution levels required to pursue retirement goals.
• Provide individual educational consultations with employees to review derral percentages, investment
allocations, and gap analysis.
• Help employees evaluate integration of plan assets with other personal assets and financial goals.
Plan Committee Support
Conduct vendor benchmarking (as appropriate), assist in compliance reviews, and facilitate metrics reporting.
• Act as the liaison between plan sponsor and service providers.
• Assist in establishing files of important documents in case of an audit (e.g., plan documents, Summary Plan Description, committee meeting minutes, Investment Policy Statement, etc.).
• Prepare and present Annual Plan Review.
• Review participant activity and key plan success metrics.
• Periodically review plan design features to ascertain if they are meeting client's goals as their business
needs change.
• Facilitate requests for proposal process every three to five years toward ensuring services are competitive.
